Web Design, Development & Maintenance

Beyond non-profit website

Through the non-profit organization 48n48, Dee Warren was part of a team of three individuals from different organizations who came together over a weekend to design and develop a website for the non-profit organization, Beyond.

We collaborated closely to create a site that effectively showcased their mission using Beaver Builder. It was a rewarding experience to contribute to such an important initiative!

Website Redesign

This project focused on enhancing an existing website. We retained the original WordPress theme while utilizing the Elementor editor to simplify updates and maintenance for the client.

We reorganized and categorized the existing content to improve user experience and accessibility.

Additionally, a comprehensive website owner’s manual was created, providing the client with all necessary information in an easily accessible format. We also developed tutorials to assist the client with updates and backups of their site.

Landing Page for Digital Photographer

This project involved creating a sleek landing page for a digital photographer. Built on the Genesis WordPress framework, the site showcased the photographer’s images.

The focus was clean design that highlighted the photographer’s unique style, with easy navigation and responsive features for mobile users.

Website Design, Development & Maintenance

This project encompassed continuous website design, development, revisions, and maintenance for the Learning Design Group’s Instructional Design team at the University of Colorado Boulder. Utilizing Drupal as the platform, we navigated institutional standards that influenced the site’s capabilities and design.

In April 2020, the website underwent a significant revision, enhancing its functionality and user experience. Following this major update, we provided ongoing updates and content revisions to ensure the site remained current and aligned with the team’s evolving needs.

404 Page for Digital Artist

This 404 page was thoughtfully designed to reflect the unique style of a digital artist, Eldon Warren. Featuring a stunning background image of a mausoleum illuminated by moonlight—one of the artist’s original pieces—this page not only maintains the aesthetic of the artist’s work but also transforms a potential dead end into a visually engaging experience.

Instructional Design/Project Management

Online Teaching Academy: A Comprehensive Hybrid Course

The Online Teaching Academy is a four-month hybrid course designed to support instructors new to online teaching or those looking to enhance their skills.

Led by Dee Warren and a dedicated team of four instructional designers, the course development involved defining project scope, organizing content, and collaborating closely to bring the curriculum to life. Over the past four years, the course has been successfully taught annually, continually empowering educators with the tools and confidence they need to excel in an online teaching environment.

Streamlining Workflow

To ensure a manageable workload for the Instructional Design Team at CU Boulder, Dee Warren implemented effective processes and systems that standardized workflow and promoted consistency across all team members.

These processes, along with essential information, were meticulously documented and regularly updated in the Learning Design Group (LDG) wiki. Created on Google Sites, the wiki provided a free and accessible resource that could be accessed from any computer, facilitating collaboration and communication among the team. This approach not only enhanced efficiency but also fostered a cohesive working environment.

Tutorials

To assist student workers, interns, and instructors in need of support, Dee Warren developed a series of helpful tutorials. These resources were created in various formats, including documents, screenshots, and videos, to cater to different learning styles.

The primary goal was to design job aids that could be easily repurposed for multiple purposes. This approach not only streamlined workflows but also ensured that all users received high-quality support, enhancing overall efficiency and effectiveness in their roles.
